We’ve been unable to locate the property on any of our databases. If someone can provide us with the meter serial number at the property, we can use this to see if we can identify an entry on the national databases.

Hopefully, with the serial number, we’ll be able to identify who the supplier is, but if not it may be that the supply at the property is not registered in which case you can contact the wholesaler in that area to begin the process of registering the supply

No. The recommendation that we’ve sent over will not change unless there’s a change to the information sent over by applicant’s referees. Applicants circumstances can change and our grading is based on the information held at this moment in time.

When a supply is switched to our preferred supplier, a meter read is needed to agree on what point the losing supplier should bill up to and where the new supplier should continue from.

This meter read needs to be submitted by our preferred supplier to the industry database within 5 days from the supply switch date. If no read is supplied, the new and old suppliers will agree on an estimated read based on the meter read history held by the losing supplier.

If a read is submitted after 5 days have passed, if the meter reading is out by more than 250 units, the new supplier can usually dispute the agreed estimate with the losing supplier and look to have this changed.  This can only be done up to 1 year after the switch date. If the customer read is less than the 250 unit tolerance, the reading can’t be disputed.
